The city as a campus

The city as a campus

Contribution: Joke Busschots-Timmer (education and child studies alumnus)

Coming from a small village in Brabant, I wasn't used to much. Studying in the big city was quite the adventure! But Leiden wasn't the prettiest place to be at that time, in the early 90s. And the Social and Behavioural Sciences building, where I studied education and child studies, definitely wasn't either! Fortunately, the buildings have become better and more attractive since then. And the city too. It's now more of a whole. The city as a campus. I never thought I would still be living here and I never expected that our daughter would also study here. It's like experiencing university all over again!
