The great development opportunities you get (or ‘take’) when you work at Leiden University. I am an example of a job hopper: I moved from foyer manager at LAKtheater and other great roles, such as Head of the Rector’s Office, up to the role of institute manager at the Academy of Creative and Performing Arts. I always tell new staff whose careers are ahead of them: look around you, take advantage of courses and training, explore the University Library, get to know people, work on your development. So much is possible at the university. You can even study and do a PhD alongside your job. How fun is that?
