A tradition characteristic of Leiden University: immortalizing your name on the walls of the Sweat Room after graduation. When I shared this with friends studying in other cities, they looked surprised; it truly is a unique tradition. And that's what I like about it. In Leiden, you're not really a graduate until your name is in the Sweat Room. It is the place where you officially complete your student life, the place where the memorable pictures with diploma are taken. The place where I myself as a student also hope to have my name written down in a few years.
