Research project Letters as loot

Research project Letters as loot

Contribution: DickJan Braggaar (Dutch language and literature alumnus)

The project 'Letters as loot' by emeritus professor of History of Dutch Marijke van der Wal. From 2008 to 2013, unique 17th and 18th-century letters were examined. The captured letters from men, women, and children provided a unique opportunity to gain insight into historical language usage and society during this period. My participation as a transcriber kept me sharp during my unemployment.
