Professor Hein Schermers, professor of international law. I took his elective course on the Law of International Organizations. To me, he was the epitome of an outstanding professor. He was amiable, deeply passionate, and an engaging speaker. His vast expertise was impressive, yet he made it accessible even for me as a non-law student. When I think of great professors from my time in Leiden, he stands out head and shoulders above the rest.
