The Laboratory for Astrophysics is one of the world’s leading facilities for understanding chemical processes relevant to astronomy. Research here is conducted using ultra-high vacuum setups—spaces with almost no air. This allows for the simulation of unique space conditions, such as extreme cold and low pressure. The laboratory is currently led by Assistant Professor Ko-Ju Chuang.
