How Herman Amptmeijer demonstrated against the South African ambassador's visit to the Academy Building in 1966. His action in Leiden was a precursor to the student protests of 1968. These were against Apartheid, armchair scholars and fraternity members. Dutch students demanded more of a say and greater democracy at universities.
