I am grateful to have met my wife, Marjolein, and that we, as two classicists, have journeyed through life together. I am thankful for the excellent professors who taught me, such as Chris Sicking, Professor of Greek, and Jan Hendrik Waszink, Professor of Latin. But certainly also for Mr. Pieters (Greek) and Mr. Van Heck (Latin). I am also grateful to have discovered the Liberal Christian Student Union (VCSB), which has meant a great deal to me.
