Chinese poetry journals

Chinese poetry journals

Contribution: Freerk Heurle (guest employee)

After completing my academic training at VU Amsterdam and Utrecht University, and a long career as a medical specialist at Erasmus MC, I found an opportunity in Sinology at Leiden University. I have spent the past five years working with Professor Maghiel van Crevel on his project Unofficial Poetry Journals from China (UNPO). These journals are published outside the official literary infrastructure in China and are therefore very difficult to find. I am grateful that as a scholar over the age of 65, I was still able to contribute to the digital accessibility of this collection.
