Universiteit Leiden

Particle physics and music history Studium Generale

Contribution: Hester Be (Philosophy of Humanities student)

Studium Generale holds free lectures on behalf of the university that are open to all. This gives a broad audience the opportunity to discover a wide range of fields and topics: from particle physics to music history, from Arabic manuscripts to the gold standard in America. As a master’s student, I only have a few contact hours, but I truly enjoy attending these lectures. It’s also incredibly valuable to gain knowledge across a wide array of subjects beyond my own field of study.
